new clients can use the waitlist option on our booking site to be alerted upon openings/cancellations.

The custom facial is for all new clients. advanced services such as chemical peels and microneedling will not be performed on new clients.
clients who have not been serviced by essence in 6+ months are considered new clients.

Cancellations require 24 hour notice.

how to find us

our flagship location in charlotte, nc is located in a shopping center on the second level at phenix salon suites southpark. there is an elevator at this location.
upon entering the building, the studio is to the right, then left. the studio is on the left hand side of the hallway and the door reads lineage studio.

our harlem location is located in phenix salon suites on adam clayton powell jr blvd. (7th avenue).

our harlem location offers street parking only. we recommend arriving well before your session to secure a parking space.
our charlotte flagship location has parking as it is located in a shopping center. the parking lot can be a bit crowded on weekends
how to prepare

we advise all clients to refrain from exfoliating or using any topical prescription products 1 week out from their appointment.
to have a successful session, we recommend not wearing any clothing, accessories or hairstyles that may interfere with the service. for example, bangs, turtlenecks, large earrings, etc.

we advise all clients to exfoliate the skin the day before their wax. this diminishes the chance of ingrown hairs and makes for a smoother wax. if the hair is longer than a grain of rice, we recommend trimming it to that length. if the hair is shorter than a grain of rice, the esthetician will not be able to perform the service.

if you do not have an established skin care routine with a professional, we advice exfoliating 1-2 times per week.
